We want you to get the education you deserve.

About Us

Our name, The Little Way of Learning, was inspired by St. Thérèse of Lisieux and her little way. She describes it as doing "ordinary things with extraordinary love." This approach is especially relevant in education. The early relationship that a child, teenager, or young adult builds with learning lasts a lifetime. That is why we are committed to instilling a true love of learning in all our students.

We are aware of many students' daily struggles in their education. With the help of a personal tutor, our students realize their unique capabilities and how to use them to their advantage. We strive to develop each student’s skills and foster joy in lifelong learning, that leads to success in all their endeavors!

Josephine Roach

Founder

Growing up in the military, Josephine completed the vast majority of her K-12 education at home. Spending her senior year of high school in Germany, she became familiar with the schooling there as well. After graduation, Josephine completed two years of automotive mechanic training. These experiences, as well as her time in US public schools and now a private university, provide her with a distinct perspective on the education system.

With this in mind, Josephine has come to believe in the exceptional power of personalized education in fueling lifelong success. She holds that a proper education is well-rounded, taking a student’s interests and skills, and integrating them into all areas of their instruction. Her unique combination of Music & Astronomy minors with STEM majors demonstrates this philosophy in action.

In 2020, Josephine was nominated for the Presidential Scholars program for her performance on the SAT. In conjunction, she also received a full academic scholarship to the University of Alabama at Huntsville for Mechanical Engineering. With over 10 college applications and 8 SAT & SAT Subject Tests under her belt, Josephine is excited to share her knowledge of the SAT & college application processes to help prepare students for the next steps in their education.

Josephine is now in her third year at Thomas More University studying Math & Physics. She conducts astrophysics research funded by NASA Kentucky at her university while attending classes and tutoring college and high school students. For her, education is a door to entirely new and exciting worlds which she is eager to help others discover.
